- driving down the streets, flashbacks from several years ago come and go jabbing at my heart.
- smell is the strongest sense that we have linked to memory. The faintest pleasant or unpleasant scent paints a scene in our heads.
- things are hardest and most unbearable when we cannot be in control.
- minor triggers have the ability to revisit the most suppressed thoughts and the most unbearable memories and moments in our lives.
- sorrow and grief overtakes all…and yet remains unspoken as if it is forbidden.
- our imagination is sometimes so strong, we hallucinate and see the things we desire and long for the most.
